Hi! I would like to participate in the celebration of 20 years of Linux. I really am interested in joining this Linux Day event. How do I attend? Are there any steps I need to do? How do I register? I look forward to hearing back! Thanks!

Thanks for your interest in Linux Day! There are 2 ways that you can participate in the celebration of Linux's 20th anniversary:

1. Form a Linux Day team and hold an event. It can be as simple as a get-together (have some drinks while discussing Linux) or as elaborate as a seminar with multiple resource persons talking about anything Linux-related. Here's what the Linux Day 2010 teams did last year:

2. Attend a celebration organized by a team near you. Team leaders are starting to sign up and create their teams for Linux Day 2011. You can check out their team pages for more information:

Whether you choose #1 or #2, thank you in advance for celebrating Linux Day with us!
