FOSS Bangladesh is going to celebrate the "Linux Day - 2014" here in Bangladesh on Monday, August 25, 2014 along with the global community. All the Bangladeshi FOSS users, lovers, enthusiasts and interested ones on Linux based distributions are welcome to join in this event. It's an Open for all event.

Venue: University of Information Technology and Sciences (UITS), Baridhara, Dhaka, Bangladesh.

Event duration: 11.00AM onwards (local time = GMT+6:00).

Event Plan:
11:00 - 11:30 -- Welcome + Opening Speeches.
11:30 - 14:00-- There will be session on the history and moments, developments information etc. of various Free Softwares and GNU/Linux. Along with these, there will be localized video shows representing Software Freedom, GNU and Linux movements and many more.

There will be a GNU/Linux install and support service booth for the participants, from where they could have the support for free to install GNU/Linux distros on their Desktop/Laptop/Netbook. Moreover ISO's containing GNU/Linux distros will be also available for the participants.

Post Event update: The event launched at 11:00 and continues till 17:30 as planned. FOSS Bangladesh General Secretary Shazedur Rahim Joardar, Information and Research Secretary Sagir Hussain Khan, Volunteers - Sharif Ahmmed Mollick, Shafiqur Rahman Pallab, Redwan Hassan, Mozilla Bangladesh Volunteer Ashickur Rahman Noor and Anam Ahmed, Vice Chancellor of University of Information Technology and Sciences (UITS) Professor D. Muhammad Samad, Head of the Dept. of CSE & IT D. Supratip Ghosh, Teacher of the Dept. of CSE Mr. Al Imtiaz give their speeches in this event. Various topics on Software Freedom, Open Software, Ethics on Software, Software Industry Revolution, GNU/Linux and it's Adoptions was presented by the speakers and open discussion was on with the participants.

From 17:30 to 18:30 the participants get the free and price zero service of GNU-Linux Disto installation on their laptops by the FOSS Bangladesh volunteers.

Dear Admin

Peace be upon you all.

We FOSS Bangladesh have updated our event page with the post event updates and photos. Plz have a look.

Moreover I have messed up something in the previous post on our team page. Now I cannot edit the page with my desired text/photo.

I had find out my errors on the current text and that was a silly mess up with some quotes (""). So I have given you the corrected text in between ===== block. Plz do me the favour ASAP.
