Hi! I would like to participate in the celebration of 20 years of Linux. I really am interested in joining this Linux Day event. How do I attend? Are there any steps I need to do? How do I register? I look forward to hearing back! Thanks!

Thanks for your interest in Linux Day! There are 2 ways that you can participate in the celebration of Linux's 20th anniversary:

1. Form a Linux Day team and hold an event. It can be as simple as a get-together (have some drinks while discussing Linux) or as elaborate as a seminar with multiple resource persons talking about anything Linux-related. Here's what the Linux Day 2010 teams did last year:

http://linuxday.org/index.php?category=2010

2. Attend a celebration organized by a team near you. Team leaders are starting to sign up and create their teams for Linux Day 2011. You can check out their team pages for more information:

http://linuxday.org/index.php?category=2011

Whether you choose #1 or #2, thank you in advance for celebrating Linux Day with us!

Please upload your photos by editing your team page. Some suggestions:

If you have 1 photo, please make it an entry image.

If you have more than 1 photo, please make them album images.

Hi,

It has been more than a month since Linux Day 2011. We noticed that some events are still unverified:

http://linuxday.org/index.php?category=unverified

If your team is on the list, please verify your event by uploading pictures. We know that this can be a tedious task, but it is a necessary step to make your event official.

Thanks in advance!

Thanks to all the team leaders who verified their events!

There are still 6 teams whose events remain unverified:

http://linuxday.org/index.php?category=unverified

DLSL-LUG, UnPLUG, GUL UCA, FASOJUG, Team 8layertech and KahelOS, Garinternet International Incorporated

Let's aim for 0 unverified events by the end of the month, shall we?

Thanks in advance!
